A Grandmother from Basildon is celebrating after winning one of Bingo’s biggest ever jackpots. The lady, who has chosen not to be named, scooped the massive sum of £1,023,353 at her local Gala club in Basildon.
She said “I am in shock. I am still trying to get my head around it. I’ve never been lucky – I’ve only ever won £10 or £20 in the past.”
“I called my husband and said ‘I’ve won an awful lot of money’ and put down the phone”
“I asked the staff to break the news to him very gently because he has a heart condition.”
The Super Gran, who has 3 grandchildren, won the big National Game on Sunday evening 30th June.
Although Super Gran’s win was big it still doesn’t quite make the largest bingo club win as a Cleaner from Hamilton, Glasgow, had the biggest win in March where she scooped £1,167,795! Not bad for a night at the bingo!
